We are now seeing reports that the Mini 2 may have a follow-me mode and RAW capabilities!
Other sources have stated that the Mini 2 will not include ActiveTrack tracking, so maybe follow-me mode will be a completely different technology? We'll see!
These are two key features I couldn't miss when the DJI Mavic Mini was first released. I edit almost all of my photos in RAW format and it makes a big difference how much leeway I have to create my images. I'm also so glad to see that they have increased the resolution for videos from 2.7K (25/30p) to 4K (25/30p).
Mini 2 Specs
- 4K Video (30 FPS) @ 100MB/s
- 1/2.3″ sensor, 12MP still images with RAW Support!
- 31 minute flight time
- Weighs 249g (same as Mavic Mini)
- Stonger motors that can better handle winds and higher top speeds
- Ocusync 2.0 with 10-kilometer communication range (150% farther than Mavic Mini, but no WIFI.)
- Upgraded controller (Mavic 2 Air style? or maybe the new standard?)
- $550 / £515 / AU$840
