Less Than $60

JBL TUNE 500

  • Wired
  • On-Ear Headphones
  • Frequency Response: 20–20,000 Hz
Buy from Amazon

Although these headphones have a good frequency response, they are wired and will require a USB C to 3.5mm Audio Adapter (for Android Devices) or an Apple Lightning to 3.5 mm Headphone Jack Adapter (for Apple Devices).

Sony MDRZX110NC

  • Wired
  • Over-Ear
  • Noise-Cancelling Headphones
  • Frequency Response: 10–22,000 Hz
Buy from Amazon

Sennheiser HD 300

  • Wired
  • Over-Ear Headphones
  • Frequency Response: 18–20,000 Hz
Buy from Amazon

Sennheiser makes good headphones, and these have a slightly better frequency response than the JBL TUNE 500, but these are wired headphones, so you will need an adapter either for your Android device (USB C to 3.5mm Audio Adapter) or for your Apple device (Apple Lightning to 3.5 mm Headphone Jack Adapter).

Choose the Anker Soundcore Life Q20's below if you want wireless and don't want to spend more than $60.

Anker Soundcore Life Q20

  • Wireless
  • Hybrid Active Noise Cancelling Headphones
  • Wireless Over Ear Bluetooth Headphones
  • 40H Playtime
  • Hi-Res Audio
  • Deep Bass
  • Memory Foam Ear Cups
Buy from Amazon

While I haven't tried these headphones, I am very satisfied with my Anker Soundcore Life Q30 headphones, which have a 40-hour playtime.

Less Than $100

Sennheiser HD 400S

  • Wired
  • Over-Ear Headphones
  • Frequency Response: 18–20,000 Hz
Buy from Amazon

Sennheiser is a good brand, but these are wired headphones and would require a USB C to 3.5mm Audio Adapter (For Android Devices) or Apple Lightning to 3.5 mm Headphone Jack Adapter (For Apple devices).

They do appear to be comfortable.

Soundcore by Anker Life Q30

  • Wireless
  • Over-Ear
  • Noise-Cancelling Headphones (Dual-Microphone)
  • 40-Hour Playtime (Up to 60-Hour with standard mode)
  • Frequency Response: 16 - 40,000Hz
Buy from Amazon

These headphones sound great with binaural beats, Dr Joe Dispenza meditations, breathwork meditations, and electronic music. They have a long battery life. Anker support is great.

Active Noise Canceling may not be as powerful as more expensive options like WYZESony WH1000XM3 or Bose QuietComfort 45, but it's still an effective means of cutting down on fans, deep bass, and talking.

I own the Soundcore by Anker Life Q30 headphones and find them to be very comfortable. However, sometimes the audio cuts out on my Google Pixel 6 / Google Pixel 6 Pro.

They work well with my desktop using a USB Bluetooth 5.0 adapter and only stop working when I walk too far from the receiver.

When you turn them on there is a voice that tells you how long the battery will last.

I think these are the most comfortable headphones I have ever owned, and I'm fascinated by the WYZE headphones listed below.

Wyze Noise-Cancelling Headphones

  • Wireless
  • Over The Ear (with Fatigue-Free Fit)
  • Active Noise Cancellation (40dB)
  • 20-Hour Battery Life (10-minute quick charge to 4-hour)
  • Frequency Response: Up to 38kHz
Buy from Amazon

Since these have a 20-hour battery life, as opposed to the 40/60-hour battery life of the Soundcore by Anker Life Q30, I am hesitant to try them.

But, maybe plugging them in every day or two is worth it for the Fatigue-Free Fit (20mm foam and elongated earpads)? As it has quick charging, I suppose I could put down my tunes for 10 minutes for 4 hours more of battery life, eh?

Wyze also offers 40 dB Active Noise Cancelling Wireless Earbuds and 30 dB Active Noise Cancelling Wireless Earbuds for those wanting IPX5 Sweat Resistance with 4 Voice-Isolating Mics.

Jabra Elite 45h

  • Wireless
  • On-Ear Headphones
  • Frequency Response: 20–20,000 Hz
Buy from Amazon

These are for people who prefer on-ear headphones. My preference would be over-ear noise-cancelling headphones.

Greater Than $100

Sony WHCH710N

  • Wireless
  • Over-Ear
  • Noise-Cancelling Headphones
  • Frequency Response: 7–20,000 Hz (JEITA) | 20-20,000 Hz (Bluetooth)
Buy from Amazon

Sennheiser HD 599

  • Wired
  • Over-Ear Headphones
  • Frequency Response: 12- 38,500 Hz
Buy from Amazon

Audio-Technica ATH-M50X

  • Wired
  • Over-Ear
  • Professional Studio Monitor Headphones
  • Frequency Response: 15 – 28,000 Hz
Buy from Amazon

Soundcore by Anker Life Q35

  • Wireless
  • Over-Ear
  • Noise-Cancelling Headphones
  • Frequency Response: 16 - 40,000Hz
Buy from Amazon

These might be a good alternative if my Soundcore by Anker Life Q30's break. I would appreciate the built-in sensor that senses when you remove the Life Q35 from your ears and automatically stops my music.

Status Flagship ANC Headphones

  • Hybrid Digital Active Noise Cancelling
  • 4x external microphones
  • Touch controlling feature
  • Transparency mode
  • Multipoint pairing support
  • 35 hours of battery life with USB-C charger cable
Buy from Amazon

The sound quality was really good, but I wasn't able to wear them for more than an hour without feeling uncomfortable. The ear pads hurt my ears.

Sony WH1000XM3

  • Wireless
  • Over-Ear
  • Noise-Cancelling Headphones
  • Frequency Response: 4-40,000 Hz
Buy from Amazon

I'd like to try these or the Bose Quiet Comfort 45. After wearing these for a moment, they seemed more comfortable than the $160 Status Flagship ANC Headphones above in the Greater Than 100 category.

If you want to save $50-150, check out the Sony WH1000XM3 on eBay.

Bose QuietComfort 45

  • Wireless
  • Over-Ear
  • Noise-Cancelling Headphones
  • Frequency Response: 4-40,000 Hz
Buy from Amazon

Although I would like to try these, the price puts me off. Sometimes I find these on eBay for a decent price and in new packaging. eBay offers the Bose QuietComfort 45 for a lower price than its retail price.

Apple AirPods Max

  • Wireless
  • Over Ear
Buy from Amazon

As of now, I haven't tried out the AirPods Max, but I have heard mostly good things about them. :)

You might want to check eBay for pricing on these Apple AirPods Max if you are more of an Apple user. However, watch out for cheap knockoffs unless you are willing to take that risk. You can also use PayPal to protect yourself from fraud.
