1 — Stewart Lake County Park

3106 Co Hwy JG, Mt Horeb, Wisconsin 53572

This is a beautiful lake surrounded by a beautiful landscape. The photo below was actually taken during the autumn coloration.

If the park is too busy, you can also consider taking off from the Family Aquatic Center, but for the visibility of your aircraft, it is best to approach the park closer.

2 — Donald County Park

1945 WI-92 Trunk, Mt Horeb, WI 53572

I haven’t had a chance to fly at this park, but when I look at what is available on Google Maps, there are streams, grasslands and beautiful rock formations! Horseback riding and dogs welcome.

I would not recommend flying very high in this area. Check the Kittyhawk warning in this area because there is a privately owned aerodrome within 1.20 miles of Donald County Park. I just want you to be aware of these potential risks to prevent an accident. Always fly with caution, as you should anyway.
