Testing Out Skylum Luminar 4

I have been looking forward to the release of something new since Google sold the Nik Collection, which is now owned by DxO. Sklyum’s Luminar 4 integrates well with Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom directly from the menu.

The biggest exciting feature for me has to be the ability to add color contrast and sharping without introducing noise to the photograph. Also, they’re introducing some new awesome portrait retouching tools (AI-powered) which will save portrait photographers a ton of time editing their work. See below for some examples of how these look.

I like the natural approach Skylum is taking with the new AI Skin Enhancement and how easy the tool is to use.

I’m not 100% on this one… I’m not one to replace skies in my photographs but they have a powerful sky replacing tool now in Luminar 4.
