Ah, a photography trip through the Smoky Mountains!
I am writing today as we return from another successful Smoky Mountains / Savannah, GA road trip with our Model 3 and Tesla makes a change to its impressive supercharging network that could massively change the sustainable energy landscape.
We recently took a trip through the Smoky Mountains to our destination in Georgia. We only queued up once for a Supercharger station during our entire drive. It was in Hardeeville, SC (V3 250kW).

We opted for a super short charge because of the line. Fortunately, there was another charger on Hilton Head Island so we could get more juice at our destination, so no worries.
Faster charging not only keeps the cars moving, but a diverse selection of charging options also keeps people from staying longer at the already congested chargers. It is more efficient to arrive at the nearest fast charger at 10-20%, as the recharging speed drops once you have topped off over 50%.
Upon arriving at the Hilton Head Supercharger, we found the charging station eerily empty. Not a soul in sight. It was as if everyone had charged up on the way home or in the neighboring states, leaving us to enjoy the quiet solitude of the charging session. Perhaps some had stopped for a bite at the nearby Waffle House, fueling up both their electric vehicles and their stomachs.

This is an example of our experience at the same charger station on our road trip, which was shared with another vehicle.

Thank you for taking the time to look at my photos. We look forward to bringing you more great adventures in the future!
