Have you just bought a brand new DJI Osmo Action Camera or found out which MicroSD card is recommended to start with? Look no further!
The DJI Osmo Action is not equipped with a memory card by default, so you will have to pick it up separately. However, not every SD card works with all the functions of the camera, so here are my recommendations on what to look out for and which cards are safe to use.
If you plan to use the high bit rate video mode of the DJI Osmo, which is quite likely, you should make sure that your memory card is fast enough to process the data stream that the camera throws at it. If the card is too slow, you risk the recording stopping unexpectedly, missing frames or even device crashing.
The maximum bit rate of the Osmo Action of 100 Mbps is higher for an action camera than that of the GoPro HERO7 Black, but is still well within the range of the better memory cards currently on the market. Problem is that there are also many cards that are not fast enough, and it is not always easy to spot the difference.
